IEC Updates

AEA 11 Co-op Transition to IEC

The AEA 11 Co-op will be closing as of June 30, 2008.  Heartland AEA 11 and the Iowa Educators Consortium (IEC) have combined our efforts to continue to offer your school district the best in bid pricing and cooperative purchasing.  This web page has been created for Heartland AEA 11 Co-op clients to help you locate products purchased by your district.

 

We have listed the categories you are currently buying through the co-op below and provided detailed instructions on how to order these items through the IEC.  Please click on the words in blue for detailed information.  These categories/items have been competitively bid and are billed and SHIPPED DIRECTLY to your school, which we see as a great advantage for you.

ATHLETICS & PE

The IEC currently offers purchasing through BSN Sports which offers online ordering, a 10 % catalog discount for BSN, 15% catalog discount on US Games and FREE SHIPPING regardless of order size.  Must mention bid # 29322.

 

CUSTODIAL

The IEC currently offers full janitorial lines with competitive pricing from Martin Bros. (no minimum order if shipped with your kitchen’s food order) and Corporate Express (no minimum order and free shipping.  

 

NURSING

PAPER-Copy

(includes white, colored, recycled, 3-hole punched, cover stock, envelopes) -The IEC bids paper twice a year and has it delivered to the schools across the state.  Order forms are available in December and May.  For more information please click here.
We also have excellent pricing for smaller quantities for these items through our OfficeMax and Corporate Express office supply contracts.  You will simply need to set up an account with them, click on the company name for contacts and forms.

 

PAPER-Arts & Crafts Paper
(includes construction, craft, drawing, tagboard, newsprint, etc.) The IEC has several vendors to choose from that carry these products. 

 

PAPER-Other Paper Products
(napkins, toilet paper, facial tissue, paper towels, sanitary napkins and supplies) The IEC has two options for these items. 

  • Martin Bros. is our food and janitorial supplier. We bid these items out every year and their pricing is very competitive.  They also have many value added services and support for your district and staff.  Please contact Dan Dreyer for product information and pricing.

GLOVES

Gloves of all kinds have been bid and can be purchased through Martin Bros.  Latex powdered, latex powder free, vinyl powdered, vinyl powder free, mesh gloves, rubber flock lined, nitrile 18” and poly foodservice gloves.

(smallwares, dishwash, film, foil, napkins and disposables)
