How do I become an IEC vendor partner?

Please follow each step:

  1.  If your company provides a product or service that is already offered by the IEC, then you will need to wait and submit a bid when the current contract term is concluded and that category is re-bid (if determined by the IEC Operations Committee).  All current bids are posted on the IEC website.
  2. Should you provide a product or service that isn’t currently available through the IEC, please send a general informational packet including a proposal as to why you are interested in becoming an IEC vendor and what unique benefits you can offer our clients to:
    Iowa Educators Consortium
    3712 Cedar Heights Dr.
    Cedar Falls, Iowa  50613
  3. The IEC will review these submissions as time permits and will not accept suggestions via e-mail or phone.  If there is a new product or service that will benefit eligible IEC clients, and the IEC Operations Committee decides to move forward, a competitive RFP process will begin.

What are the lengths of IEC contracts?

Contract lengths can vary depending on the agreement between the IEC and vendor. Contracts can last anywhere from one (1) to five (5) years.  Copy paper and AV/Computer equipment and supplies are bid twice a year.

What type of marketing support does the IEC provide?

The IEC expects vendors to implement an aggressive marketing plan.  We can assist you by providing the outreach necessary to increase your client base and grow your business.

What are the advantages with partnering with the IEC?

  1. After working with Iowa schools for numerous years, the IEC has grown to be a familiar and dependable resource.
  2. We promote all IEC vendors at various trade shows and conferences throughout the year.
  3. The IEC has access to target audiences that are not easily accessible to vendors (Superintendents, AEA employees, Principals, Business Managers, etc.)
  4. The IEC also executes an extensive marketing plan which includes, print, electronic and other marketing strategies.
