When
signing up for the discount you will be required to renew your
service agreement for 24 months. This renewal does not change the
date for which you will be eligible for new equipment at the
discounted price.

FAQs
How
does the 20% discount show up on my bill?

State of
Iowa school employees will receive a 20% discount on
monthly rate plan.
Who is
eligible for the 20% discount?

This
discount is available for all new activations
and eligible equipment upgrades with contract
renewals.

Existing
customers who are not currently eligible for upgrade / contract
renewal will need to be in their current contract for at least 12
months to receive the 20% discount.

The
existing or new account must be in the name of the qualifying
employee. If the account is not
in the qualifying employee's name, both parties (the current
account holder and school employee) must stop by a US Cellular
location IN PERSON to complete a “Change of Responsibility Form”.
This is US Cellular's policy to ensure proper identification of
employment and authorization to change the status is
provided.
Who is
eligible for equipment upgrades?

To be
eligible to upgrade equipment, school employees must be in
their current equipment for at least 18 months.
Where
do I go to get the phones?

All 4
distribution outlets Direct Sales, Retail Sales, Agents, and
Telesales have the ability to get you phones you just need to be at
least 18 months thru your contract to get new equipment.
If a
customer chooses to depart from their employer, will their discount
be removed immediately/automatically?
The
discount will remain on the customers account until the end of the
contract term. In the event that the program is abused, U.S.
Cellular® reserves the right to periodically verify employment of
PED Program participants.
